Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced significant enhancements to two of its key transatlantic services as part of its newly launched standalone East/West Network. These improvements demonstrate MSC's ongoing commitment to providing customers with the most competitive transit times and the widest selection of direct port pairs.
The MEDUSEC service will now achieve an industry-leading transit time of just 9 days between Genoa and New York through the following operational adjustments:
• Barcelona and Sines calls will be removed from the MEDUSEC service
• Barcelona will be reassigned to the EMUSA service
• Sines will maintain US East Coast connectivity via the EMUSA service
• Enhanced trade connectivity for Tyrrhenian Sea islands (Sardinia and Sicily) to the US East Coast through feeder services
• Improved US East Coast access for inland regions via MSC's intermodal network coverage throughout Italy
